Most mid-range gaming chairs are lackluster. Yeah, most of them are like cheap chairs in features and build quality. But, the GT Omega pro gaming chair stands out as a mid-range gaming chair. It has more premium features like 4D adjustable armrests, and the build quality is superb for the price.
I got a chance to test the GT Omega Pro racing gaming chair, and I loved it. It doesn’t look premium. But once you sit on it and try adjusting the chair, you start to realize how comfy it is. You get good adjustability to customize your sitting experience while also having many premium features at an affordable price.
Is the GT Omega Pro series worth the money, or should you spend more for a premium chair? Can you spend less and get the same comfort and features as you would with the GT omega pro chair? This GT Omega Pro XL gaming chair review will hopefully help you figure that out.

Comfort

I tested the GT omega pro chair while also testing Noble Hero Black Edition. And therefore, I got the chance to jump from premium to mid-range. Honestly, the difference between the two in terms of comfort when sitting on this chair is not much.
Generally, I’m not too fond of PU leather’s feel compared to fabric. But the chair becomes uncomfortable if you are seated for long periods, not immediately. The high-grade cold molded foam used on the chair is thick and comfortable.
However, it doesn’t spring back to a normal position after leaving the chair as memory foam does. At first, it feels a bit firm, but it becomes pretty comfortable after using it for several days.
GT Omega Pro Series 4D Adjustable Armrests

The armrests on the GT omega pro series are pretty impressive. First, I loved how big they were. They could comfortably hold my arms and keep my elbows comfortable, and I have pretty big arms.
The armrests are of outstanding quality, and mechanisms creep with ease. I also liked the rubber-like padding on the armrests that keeps the elbows comfortable. Also, the armrests are ergonomically curved in a V-like design that keeps the arms comfortable even when used for long periods.
Besides all that, the armrests also have 4D adjustability, which is impressive. Many brands cost more than the GT Omega that comes with 3D or even less adjustability of the armrests. 4D adjustability means moving the armrests; up and down, sliding front and back, lateral sliding left to right, and clockwise anticlockwise rotation.
The body-hugging design of the GT pro racing chair is pleasant. It offers the support your body needs right where you need it. The bolsters on the backrest ensure your shoulders are fully supported. At the same time, those on the seat keep your hips aligned and supported. Although the chair might feel tight for large users, it is comfortable within the recommended weight and height measurements.
Adjustability And Ergonomics
The manufacturer states that the GT Omega Pro is ergonomically designed to ensure your comfort. I agree with them. The frame is designed to naturally fit your body curves, ensuring you are always seated in the proper posture.
The chair’s backrest reclines back up to 160 degrees, so you can lie back flat if you want to. Otherwise, you can lean the chair back to the degree that suits you and lock it in place with a handy lock lever on the side of the chair.

Height adjustability is a class 4 hydraulics mechanism that is quiet and smooth, just like in premium brands. The PU casters are nothing special, but they glide smoothly on the floor without much effort.
More premium features
The GT Omega pro gaming chair is not done impressing yet. It has even more premium features for you to enjoy. First, you get a tilt lock with tension control. This feature allows you to either rock the chair back and forth or stay still at the chosen position. The tilt tension will enable you to choose how easily or not the chair will rock if the lock is open.
Secondly, the frame of the chair is quite premium. Behind every excellent gaming chair is a superb frame. The manufacturer went all out here to ensure you have the best frame for this gaming chair. It is designed with 2mm thick steel tubing, sturdy yet light to carry around. The steel used here is thicker and stronger than the industry standard.
Finally, the base of the chair is aluminum. The frame is solid and durable compared to the plastic base in cheaper chairs and other mid-range chairs. For instance, the GT901 from GT racing is also a mid-range chair with an all-plastic base.
Final Verdict
The GT omega pro gaming chair is a mid-range gaming chair with more premium than mid-range features. The 4D armrests, metallic frame, metallic base, tilt tension, and lock are all impressive features in a chair in this price range. Plus, the chair is designed with your comfort and ergonomics in mind.
Besides being comfortable, the GT omega pro is excellent value for money. You will get a sturdy build, premium materials (except the PU leather), and all at a great price. However, if you are looking for a more premium gaming chair, consider SecretLab Titan for big and tall guys.
We recommend this chair for all gamers and professionals that want a chair at a competitive price and with competing features. The GT pro series also has a subdued design that offers an aesthetic fit for an office and a gaming setup.
