Covering the steel frame is soft, but the sturdy molded foam on the seat and backrest. The foam is comfortable and lasts for a long time. This, combined with the fact that the seat is wide and thick foam, ensures even big people are comfortable when using this chair.
The molded foam is upholstered in PU leather, giving the seat a smooth and silky elegant finish. The leather used is scratch and stain resistant, ensuring it lasts long. It is also easy to keep clean and maintain. However, PU leather is not the most comfortable material, especially prolonged seating. I hope the manufacturer will consider adding a fabric chair in the future.
The base is plastic which isn’t the best. On top of the base is the class four hydraulic gas lift that holds your weight. It also helps you to adjust the chair height. This combination allows the chair to hold up to 300 lbs comfortably.
On the sides of the chair, both on the seat and backrest, are wings that hug your body, reminding you that you are in the safe hands of your favorite superhero. I honestly found this seat quite comfortable and especially for the price range of around $200.
